My January Ipsy Bag By Sanaa

My January Ipsy Bag

Hi everyone!

I’ve been so behind in posting my reviews, so it’s going to be a blitz of a day! I’m slowly cancelling my subs, and it has been a hard decision choosing which ones to keep (…. well, for some boxes more than others). Ipsy is a definite keeper for me – I’m always excited about most of the brands, and I’ve found the quality and sizes of the samples to be well worth the price paid (even with shipping to Canada). So here we go….

This month’s bag was in a navy blue colour, with a lighter blue and white star patterned lining. It was a cute bag, but I’ve received so many other ones that I prefer both from Ipsy as well as Glymm that this one was just average for me. On to the contents:

1. Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter:

I’m usually not a huge fan of heavily scented body lotions, and I had read some negative things about this cream. However, I do find the scent appealing and I would consider giving this a few uses.

2. Josie Maran Argan Oil:

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve walked through Sephora and considered picking up this product to try out. There’s definitely a lot of buzz around argan oil these days, and this brand in particular as well. While it claims to be multi-purpose, I feel weird about using it on my face as I already have issues with it feeling greasy, so I may just stick to using this for my hair.

3. Nailtini Laquer 104 – Frappe:

Another Nailtini product! In my first Ipsy bag, I received a Nailtini nail polish in “Millionaire”, which is a gold confetti sparkle polish. I can’t say I was too excited about it, and I then proceeded to receive another 2 nail polishes from different beauty boxes in practically the same colour (“A Gold Winter’s Night” – Nicole by OPI and “I’m not Lion” – China Glaze), and I was ready to stop receiving nail polishes in beauty boxes. However, this lovely neutral pinkish nude shade totally changed my mind! I absolutely love it and I find it perfect to wear in to work! I had it on a few weeks ago and it wears really well! Because the colour is so neutral, it’s almost forgiving of any smears or chips, and you can get away with wearing it for a bit longer!

4. Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play Hair Spray:

Yay – a hairspray!! As my hair is getting longer, I find I need more of this to keep my hairstyles in place because my hair is so heavy now! I’m looking forward to giving this a go.

5. SOHO New York Eyeliner Brush:

DOUBLE YAY!! I wear eyeliner EVERYDAY, and have been experimenting with using the pot liners. My current eyeliner brush is doing the job, but I’ve been looking for a brush that will help me get away from the more defined cat eye and help me achieve a more natural lined eye. Let’s see how this turns out!

All in all, very happy with this month’s bag! Can’t see what the next one looks like!
